We are building a custom user roles and permissions system for dealers in Magento 2. The goal is to manage roles from the admin panel and allow dealers limited control from the frontend.
We are customizing Magento 2 to manage dealer user roles and permissions more effectively. The system will support four roles: Super Admin, Dealer Admin, Design and Sales Associate, and Design and Sales Associate (View Only). These roles will be created and managed only from the admin panel, not by dealers.
On the frontend, dealers will only see and request users with the default admin-defined roles.
Users will be created in inactive status. Magento admins can approve and activate users via a mass action in the customer grid or through the "Customer Active" field in the customer edit form. Email notifications will be sent to both the user and the Terra Bella admin when a user is activated. Email templates and copy recipients will be configurable from the store configuration.
Finally, frontend user editing will be restricted, ensuring secure and controlled user management.

As a luxury tile and stone brand entering the eCommerce space for the first time, TerraBella needed more than just a website—they required a powerful digital foundation tailored to the demands of modern B2B commerce. The challenge was to architect and develop a feature-rich platform on Adobe Commerce from scratch, with full support for dealer-specific pricing, multi-website scalability, flexible payment options, and seamless media access for marketing teams.
